SAN FRANCISCO, CA–(Marketwired – May 23, 2017) – Vlocity, Inc., a leading industry cloud software company, today announced that ACCES Employment has deployed Vlocity Public Sector to digitize immigrant and diversity hiring processes, accelerating the integration of job candidates from diverse backgrounds into the Canadian workforce. ACCES chose Vlocity Public Sector, which is built on the Salesforce Platform, for case management and to power a new digital client experience that would replace legacy systems, support additional client services online and shorten job placement cycles. With Vlocity Public Sector now deployed, ACCES has the capacity to support 75 percent more job seekers annually, with additional growth opportunity projected as ACCES rolls out new digital services and capabilities over the next several years.
“One of the ACCES core values is to provide an exceptional client experience,” said Allison Pond, President and CEO, ACCES Employment. “With Vlocity Public Sector, built on the Salesforce Platform, our team is better equipped to achieve even greater results in the important work we do — helping people find meaningful employment. We are grateful to Vlocity for their innovation and their commitment to our community.”
ACCES offers citizens, recent immigrants and those about to immigrate, a full-range of employment support, including access to resource materials, referral services, individualized employment counseling, job search workshops, direct placement and post-hire support. Since its inception over 30 years ago, ACCES has worked with nearly half a million job seekers from diverse backgrounds who face barriers to employment and has helped 85 percent of them find employment or achieve their training objectives. Providing online services had been a strategic goal for ACCES for more than five years and the ACCES team prioritized this project as its first large technology initiative. Working hand-in-hand with ACCES, Vlocity Public Sector helped the organization eliminate time-intensive paper-based processes and build a sophisticated, easy-to-use client portal that provides access to employment readiness training and other assistance from any location — allowing ACCES to extend its services to newcomers across Canada as well as pre-arrival immigrant candidates.
“Everything I have accessed so far has been extremely informative and gives me an insightful view of what I can expect in the Canadian workplace,” said Judy L., an ACCES Employment client and HR professional who is currently in the Express Entry pool to immigrate to Canada from St. Lucia. “The signup process was seamless and user friendly, and I was happy to receive my confirmation so quickly. I have been actively doing the workshops and using the resources, I feel much more prepared now.”
Essential to the project’s success was the introduction of Vlocity Public Sector’s easy-to-use form builder and Vlocity’s intuitively designed client portal. These applications help ACCES deliver skills training and professional services such as client assessment, workshops and job fairs, resume review, online coaching and Speed Mentoring™. Since the solution was rolled out in January 2017, more than 5,000 job seekers have met with an employment consultant, and more than 17,000 job seekers have checked in to an ACCES site online, attended a workshop, or used the resource center. Digitizing these processes allows ACCES personnel to spend more time directly assisting clients instead of on time-consuming data entry.
“Our work with ACCES demonstrates how digital technology, specifically designed for an industry such as immigrant and employee case management, can address real and deeply personal challenges for millions of people. Finding employment for growing populations of displaced immigrants is a global challenge that cloud technology can help solve,” said Dan Israel, vice president and general manager of Vlocity Public Sector. “Together with Salesforce, Vlocity is delighted to help ACCES modernize its client services and meaningfully contribute to its important mission.”
